With the model now entirely set up the main section of the program starts. This begins by performing the convergence check (which it will of course fail having not done anything yet). See section 4.7.5 for a description of the convergence check. For this first pass through the convergence check the main functions are to set up the arrays storing the emissivity function and optical depth function.
